Whilst this picture represents the arrival of my new Canon 550D, it also represents the last photo I shall take with my first DSLR, my Nikon D40. It’s been a short ride with the Nikon, but the growing advances in video DSLR’s was a call I couldn’t ignore, and after much fretting over whether to go for the 550D or the mighty 7D, I decided to side with the former. I’ve only had a night with the Canon so far, and have shot a few bits and pieces in the house, and while I’m not going to posting those shots online, I already love filming with it, and can’t wait to see what I can get out of it in the coming days.
