Back in February Gavin Strange AKA JamFactory released the second series of his Droplet vinyl toy.

Featuring custom versions of the toy by a huge list of talent from near and far, the launch night at Bristol’s Fifty Fifty attracted a massive audience.  Here’s a little retrospective of the night, featuring all of the customs on show.

Have got to share this with you all.  This is a CGI piece created by the very talented Alex Roman, using 3D Studio Max, Vray, After Effects and Premiere. With the exception of the pigeons, timelapsed growing flowers, flying airplane, sky backgrounds and the photographer (who was greenscreened), everything else has been created from scratch. Just incredible!

A piece from the vault!! Shot sometime in April of 2007, myself, JamFactory and Mr. Jago spent a day in Jago’s studio. The two of them made some amazing decks to be shown later at Xynthetic exhibitions. I of course shot the whole thing!

Shot on a Canon XL1S with a Century Optics Fish Eye Lens.

I wish I still had my XL1S and all the bits I had for it. I didn’t really get the best out of the camera at the time.  But feel I now understand the workings of it a whole lot better, think I could have gotten some good material out of it in time!

Planning on upgrading to something similar in the New Year, watch this space!

I love this.  I wish I could say it was my work, but it’s not.  Hopefully in the near future I’ll produce something as good.

Busy busy busy!

I’ve been planning a few projects recently.  I was away at the beginning of this week shooting footage for corporate job I’m currently working on, and have just finished the edit on a piece that will be showing in Glasgow at the end of this week at the Recoat Gallery as part of their Spin on This exhibition.  I also managed to do some filming at a local park while back in Leicester last week and got some really nice shots, so will be finally piecing that together soon.

I’ve been wanting to do something aside of what’s gone before for a while, and have been talking to a couple of friends about some documentaries that I want to produce.  We’re still hashing out dates and details etc, but I thought I’d share subject matters with you in the meantime.  The first will cover the British Wrestling scene, from behind the scenes, through to the ring and the devoted fans.  I know a couple of people involved in British Wrestling and there’s a few gnarly stories to tell, and futhermore to those not clued up, just why exactly these guys do it!

The second piece involves the journey of writing your first novel and the road to getting it out to an audience, a grossly different process in the days of the internet, blogging and social networking.

Finally I’m working with a friend down in Bath on the promotion of his clothing brand, AnyForty and the soon to be released new series of tee designs.  Some amazing artists have been involved in the latest collaboration tees, including: JamFactoryWasteMcFaul, iLK & Gorey and Niark1.  We’re working on a few different ideas, but expect a slew of visual and audio delights to come at you soon.
